Magic loops versus DPNs
I am now attempting to knit my other sock on a circular needle using the magic loop method. My first sock was done with 4 double pointed needles. I wanted to experiment with another method to see which one is easier. It's my first time using this magic loop method and I am finding it a little getting used to. I am relying on YouTube to help me get throughout this. I just learnt that I don't have to put half my stitches on a stitch holder when I work on the heel flap because I can just leave it on the circular needle. The different orientation is making me a little confused. I hope I don't mess it up when I start on turning the heel or the gusset. Oh dear....here's a picture of the sock done up to the point before the heel flap. I am nervous about moving on to the next part. Wish me luck! The other completed sock in the background was the one done with DPNs.

My Arm Warmers
Finally! Here is the finished product of this ribbed arm warmers project. I love the mix of colors on this one but I think the pattern could do better by including an area for the thumb. I didn't use the small straight needles given in the kit. Instead I used 4 DPNs for one warmer and a circular needle for the other warmer.
For my next project I will complete the other matching sock for an earlier project. I am trying to be versatile. I used double pointed needles for the other sock and now I have just casted the next project on the circular needles. I am not sure what I'll do when I get to the gusset and heel flap as this is my first time using the circular needles for a sock. I will blog about it soon.
